QPID Health to Showcase New Approach to Quality Reporting at the IHI Forum on Quality Improvement in Healthcare

Company to demonstrate software that streamlines reporting processes and finds more patient data to improve performance

Boston – December 1, 2015 – QPID Health, which helps hospitals and medical groups achieve their quality goals with software that generates actionable information from electronic health records, today announced that the Company will exhibit at the IHI’s 27th Annual National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care. The event will be held December 6-9, 2015 in Orlando, FL.

QPID Health will demonstrate its Quality Reporting and Registry Submission solutions at booth #112. While hospitals and medical groups have successfully transitioned to electronic medical records, as much as 80% of quality-critical information is captured in clinical notes and reports, not in structured data fields. This means that standard reporting based on data fields in the EHRs leave providers at risk of missing key facts related to the quality of care they deliver. Manual chart abstraction to fill the gap is expensive and does not scale.

The company’s solutions use advanced natural language processing (NLP) and clinical reasoning software to extract patient facts related to quality measures from both structured and unstructured data within the electronic health record. Providers benefit from lower costs and improved performance on quality measures. Visit QPID Health at the IHI National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care at booth #112.
