The annual HUBWeek event celebrates Boston’s innovative communities in healthcare, science, technology and the arts. We are pleased to have been selected to host a free event in our offices on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 5:30-7:30 pm.
Experts in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, and Data Sciences will be on hand to share how we are using these technologies to improve healthcare. We hope you will stop by to enjoy our outstanding view, have some refreshments, and see what it’s like to work at the intersection of healthcare and software. Registration is FREE at https://hubweek.org/events/artificial-intelligence-and-more-in-healthcare/.
We are pleased to share news from our parent company, eviCore healthcare, whose CDS solution has been recognized as a Qualified Clinical Decision Support Mechanism (CDSM) by CMS. In addition, the tool incorporates Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) via a partnership with Medical Guidelines Institute, designated by CMS as a Provider Led Entity (PLE).
As part of efforts to ensure that Medicare patients receive appropriate care, and to eliminate unnecessary costs, CMS is mandating use of clinical decision support (CDS) for outpatient diagnostic imaging. Starting in January 2019, physicians must consult appropriate use guidelines when ordering advanced imaging procedures such as CT, MRI, PET and SPECT for designated conditions. Further, providers who use CDS will earn points under the 2018 MIPs quality measurement program.
Great confirmation of the value that eviCore and QPID Health bring to patients, providers and payers.
